1 - Injection of photosensitiser.

2 - Predose planning including calculation of optimal fibre positioning and calculation of optimum light dose per optical fibre.

3 - Accurate positioning of the optical fibres within the tumour.

4 - Therapeutic light delivery to the target tissue and activation of the photosensitiser.

5 - Real-time monitoring of relevant PDT parameters such as light dose, photosensitiser concentration and tissue oxygenation level.

6 -
Updating of the dosimetry plan in real time to, e.g. ensure the correct light dose from each individual optical fibre.
The aim is to deliver the correct light dose to the entire target tissue while sparing organs at risk. This is why we have developed the SpectraCure PDT System with IDOSE®.
